Food and Supplements

I'm so hungry. I want pizza and cookies!

But no, I can't right now.

Because of all this mess I've been dealing with, I have had to change how I eat and take a small handful of supplements a day.

So I'm taking a multi-directional approach to try to heal myself until I can get the money to see the doctors that I want.
(I'm thinking of giving my primary doc another shot since at least insurance will pay for it)

Right now, I highly suspect Adrenal Fatigue as a problem.
I don't sleep. I try, I really do but I wake up around 3am for no reason.
I feel okay until about 2-3pm and I just want to crash.
Come 9pm...I'm wide awake.
It's a vicious cycle.
I'm dizzy at least half the time I stand up from sitting.
And really what are these wrinkles on my left hand?

I don't have diabetes, or much or anything. My blood pressure was always a bit high in the doctors office. I need to monitor it more now though.

So Adrenal Fatigue....check.

Hormonal Imbalance.......pretty sure!
I stopped the pill.
I have a uterine fibroid. Been there for at least 8 years. It's 2cm.
I have CRAMPS during ovulation..I mean full on cramps. Not some side pain but cramps like your are on your period.
And actual cramps! Yeah.
Bleeding....oh yes, bleeding....
so many things.

So Hormonal Imbalance...check.
And Leaky Gut....well, digestion issues like nothing else.

So, Adrenal Fatigue, Hormonal Imbalance, and Leaky Gut.

Well good thing so many of them can be treated similarly.

So what am I doing?

Supplements:
Fish oil (for inflammation) 1-2 pills depending on the day
B12
Vitamin C
Garlic
Magnesium Citrate

I also take a probiotic most days and 2 digestive enzymes with every meal and 1 with snacks.
But it helps and my digestion isn't healed enough to stop. I tried going down to 1 digestive enzyme but it didn't go well.

Probably need to add more later.

Now Food:
I have cut gluten! Oh that's killing me. I want pizza so much.
I eat a LOT of salad. I like salad so that's okay. Breakfast I struggle with. I've mostly been having eggs and such. It's going to take me awhile to figure this out.
Dinner is hard to. We had tacos last night though and I fully enjoyed myself.

I have not cut dairy. It doesn't seem to bother me too much. I did switch to lactose-free milk though. I love the taste better...not sure if the brand or what but it's delicious.
I eat cheese....feta is my favorite. I also have dairy kefir. I didn't like it at first but it's really grown on me. I think I like it more than yogurt.

I wasn't a big meat eater before. I'm still not but I'm trying to make sure I get some.
I bought organic, free range eggs...they are good. I usually don't like eggs.
I cook them in coconut oil.

So I'm trying to survive without gluten right now.
Mostly trying to follow a Low FODMAP food list.

Hopefully I can be back where I was in a month or 2.

  1. That's good that you can eat tacos. I hope you can get back on your feet in at least a month. I'm sorry that you're having your period even though you probably shouldn't be having it. I hope you can eat normal soon!
